Terms of Use
Welcome to MEDICARD. These terms govern the use of the application and the services connected with it.
This is an English translation. If it differs from the Georgian version, the Georgian version prevails.
Welcome to MEDICARD.
These Terms of Use (the "Terms", the "Conditions") govern the use of the MEDICARD mobile application, the features in it and the services connected with it.
Before using MEDICARD, please read this document carefully.
By creating an account or using MEDICARD, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Use.
If you do not agree to them, you should not use MEDICARD.
1. About MEDICARD
MEDICARD is a mobile health management platform that lets users store, manage and better understand their health-related information in one place.
MEDICARD's features may include:
- MEDIVET — a text-based AI assistant for pets (not a veterinary diagnosis);
- managing your health history;
- storing and organizing medical test results;
- informational explanations of test results;
- managing medications;
- medication reminders;
- menstrual cycle tracking;
- estimated cycle and ovulation predictions;
- logging symptoms and pain;
- step and physical activity data;
- hydration tracking;
- weight history;
- daily health records;
- summaries of health information;
- preparing or exporting information for a doctor;
- sharing certain information with a person the user chooses;
- showing information about medication prices and availability in pharmacies;
- other health-related digital features.
MEDICARD's features may be changed, added or removed as the application develops.
2. Service provider
MEDICARD is operated by:
- Service provider
- George Shengelia (გიორგი შენგელია), a natural person
- Product name
- MEDICARD
- support@medicard.ge
- Support
- support@medicard.ge
- Website
- https://medicard.ge
- Country and city of operation
- Georgia, Tbilisi
In this document, "MEDICARD", "we", "our" or "us" means the relevant service provider.
3. Important medical notice
MEDICARD is not a medical institution.
MEDICARD does not replace:
- a doctor;
- a pharmacist;
- a nurse;
- a laboratory;
- a psychologist;
- a dietitian;
- or any other qualified healthcare professional.
The information and automated features in the application are intended mainly for organizing and tracking health information and for informational support.
Unless the description of a specific feature expressly states otherwise, the information provided by MEDICARD is not a medical diagnosis or an individual treatment prescription.
4. MEDICARD is not an emergency service
MEDICARD is not intended for emergency medical care.
If you think that you or another person may have a life-threatening or health-threatening condition, do not wait for a response from MEDICARD or Medi.
Contact the emergency service for your location or go to a medical facility immediately.
MEDICARD does not continuously monitor the user's health condition and cannot automatically detect an emergency.
5. Medi — the artificial intelligence assistant
MEDICARD may include an assistant based on artificial intelligence — Medi.
Medi can help the user with health-related information by:
- finding it;
- organizing it;
- explaining it;
- summarizing it;
- helping to understand it better;
- spotting certain trends in the user's data.
Medi's answers may be generated using artificial intelligence models.
6. Limitations of artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence is not infallible.
Medi may:
- misunderstand a question;
- take the context into account only partially;
- make a factual error;
- misinterpret data;
- present outdated information;
- produce an answer that does not fit a particular user's condition.
Accordingly, especially important health decisions should not be based solely on an answer generated by Medi.
Before making a medical decision, consult an appropriately qualified professional.
7. AI explanations of medical tests
MEDICARD may offer the user automated or AI-based explanations of medical test results.
The purpose of such an explanation is to present complex medical information in a more understandable form.
However:
An AI explanation is not a diagnosis.
The assessment of laboratory results often depends on many factors, including:
- age;
- sex;
- health history;
- current conditions;
- medications;
- pregnancy;
- the method used by the laboratory;
- the relevant reference range;
- other clinical data.
Therefore, the final medical assessment of test results should be made by a qualified healthcare professional.
8. Medications
MEDICARD may help the user:
- keep a record of medications;
- store the times they are taken;
- store dose information entered by the user;
- receive reminders;
- view informational material about medications.
You should not use MEDICARD's information to change a doctor's prescription on your own.
Do not start, stop or change the dose of a medication based solely on information provided by MEDICARD or Medi.
When making decisions about medications, consult a doctor or a pharmacist.
9. Medication reminders
MEDICARD's reminders are an auxiliary feature.
We cannot guarantee that:
- a notification will always arrive exactly at the scheduled time;
- the device will always receive a push notification;
- the operating system will not restrict background processes;
- there will be no internet-related disruption;
- the user's device settings will not block the notification.
Accordingly, the user is responsible for taking medication safely and on time.
MEDICARD's notification feature should not be the only reminder mechanism for taking a critically important medication.
10. Menstrual cycle tracking
MEDICARD may help the user record and analyze their menstrual cycle.
The application may calculate:
- the estimated date of the next period;
- the estimated cycle length;
- the estimated ovulation window;
- the estimated fertile window;
- other cycle-related indicators.
These predictions are based on the data entered by the user and on mathematical/software models.
11. Cycle predictions are not a method of contraception
MEDICARD's cycle, ovulation and fertility predictions should not be used as a guaranteed method of preventing pregnancy.
A person's menstrual cycle can change because of many factors.
MEDICARD cannot guarantee that a predicted ovulation or fertile date will exactly match the actual period.
For questions about planning or preventing pregnancy, consult an appropriate healthcare professional.
12. Health metrics
MEDICARD may allow the user to manage or track:
- steps;
- physical activity;
- hydration;
- weight;
- symptoms;
- pain;
- other health metrics.
This data may be entered by the user or obtained, with the relevant permission, from a supported device or health platform.
Data obtained from devices may not always be completely accurate.
13. Accuracy of data entered by the user
Many of MEDICARD's features depend on the information entered by the user.
You are responsible for entering, as accurately as you can:
- health information;
- medications;
- doses;
- test results;
- cycle dates;
- symptoms;
- weight;
- other data.
Entering incorrect or incomplete information may lead to an incorrect prediction, summary or AI answer.
14. User account
Creating an account may be required to use some or all of MEDICARD's features.
You must:
- provide us with correct information;
- protect the means of access to your account;
- not share your sign-in details with other people;
- not allow a third party to use your account, unless MEDICARD expressly provides a feature for this;
- notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
You are responsible for actions carried out from your account to the extent provided for by applicable law.
15. Account security
The user should use a secure sign-in method and adequately protect their own device.
We recommend using:
- a device PIN/password;
- Face ID, Touch ID or other biometric protection, where available;
- a unique and strong password, if MEDICARD uses a password;
- an up-to-date operating system.
If you have lost your device or suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact:
16. Sharing health information
MEDICARD may give you the option to share certain information with:
- a partner;
- a family member;
- a doctor;
- another person of your choice.
Sharing must be carried out by an active action of the user.
You yourself are responsible for deciding:
- whom you give access to;
- what information you share;
- how far you trust the person concerned.
Check the recipient carefully before sharing sensitive health information.
17. Report or PDF created for a doctor
MEDICARD may create a health summary or document that can be shared with a doctor.
Such a document may be based on:
- data entered by the user;
- the health history in MEDICARD;
- automatically calculated indicators.
The document is intended to make it easier to provide information to a doctor and is not in itself an official medical report, unless expressly stated otherwise.
18. Pharmacy prices
MEDICARD may show medication prices or availability in various pharmacies or from another third-party source.
Prices may change independently of MEDICARD.
Accordingly, we cannot guarantee:
- that a particular price is always accurate;
- that a medication is in stock;
- that a discount is valid;
- that information provided by a third party is complete.
Before buying a medication, check the final price and availability at the relevant pharmacy.
19. Third-party services
Certain MEDICARD features may depend on third-party technologies or services, including:
- cloud infrastructure;
- AI providers;
- push notification services;
- health platforms;
- sign-in providers;
- the systems of pharmacies or other partners.
MEDICARD cannot control the continuous availability of third-party systems.
A disruption of a third-party service may temporarily limit certain MEDICARD features.
20. Apple Health / HealthKit and Health Connect
If MEDICARD supports Apple Health/HealthKit, Health Connect or a similar system, data is accessed only on the basis of the relevant permission.
You can manage the relevant access from your device settings.
MEDICARD's functionality may partly change if the relevant permission is withdrawn.
21. Privacy
Detailed information about how MEDICARD processes personal data is set out in the MEDICARD Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains, among other things:
- what data we process;
- why we process it;
- to whom information may be passed;
- how long it may be kept;
- how we protect it;
- what rights the user has.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy should be read together.
22. User content
In MEDICARD you may add:
- text records;
- medical data;
- photos;
- documents;
- test results;
- other personal information.
You keep the rights to the content you enter in MEDICARD that belong to you under applicable law.
By uploading information to MEDICARD, you grant us only the rights that are necessary to technically store and process the relevant service and to present it to you.
Your health information remains your information.
MEDICOACH — trainers and clients
In MEDICOACH, trainers are independent professionals and not employees or representatives of MEDICARD. MEDICARD verifies a trainer's profile and certificates, but does not guarantee the quality of the service and is not a party to any arrangement between the trainer and the client, including about payment. A trainer's advice, workout or meal plan is not medical advice; if you have a health problem, agree the plan with a doctor.
The following are prohibited between a trainer and a client: insults, harassment, discrimination, sexual or inappropriate content, spam and advertising, a fake profile or certificate, dangerous advice, spreading another person's data and using shared health data for any purpose other than training. The trainer must protect the information shared by the client and must not pass it to third parties.
Either party can end the connection, send a report about a violation and block the trainer from the relevant screen in the app. MEDICARD reviews reports and has the right to delete content, suspend a trainer's status or block an account.
23. Uploading third parties' data
You should not upload another person's confidential health or personal information unless you have the appropriate legal right or permission to do so.
For example, before uploading another person's medical document to your account, make sure you have the right to do so.
24. Prohibited use
When using MEDICARD, the following are prohibited:
- unauthorized access to another person's account;
- attempting to obtain other users' data;
- circumventing the system's security mechanisms;
- misusing the application or the API;
- sending automated bulk requests without our permission;
- distributing malware or other malicious code;
- carrying out a cyberattack on the system;
- artificially disrupting the availability of the service;
- using MEDICARD for fraud;
- impersonating another person;
- using MEDICARD for unlawful activity;
- violating another user's privacy.
25. Reverse engineering and protection of the technology
Except for exceptions permitted by applicable law, the following are not permitted without MEDICARD's prior written permission:
- reverse engineering of the application;
- attempting to obtain the source code unlawfully;
- circumventing security mechanisms;
- unlawfully copying MEDICARD's code or design;
- unauthorized commercial use of the API;
- unauthorized use of the MEDICARD brand or intellectual property.
26. Intellectual property
Unless expressly stated otherwise, MEDICARD's:
- name;
- logo;
- design;
- visual elements;
- software code;
- texts;
- system architecture;
- original graphic material;
- branding;
- other relevant intellectual property
belong to MEDICARD or the relevant authorized owner and are protected by applicable law.
27. Licence to use MEDICARD
Provided that you comply with these Terms, MEDICARD grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive right to use the application for personal purposes.
This does not mean that ownership of MEDICARD's software or intellectual property is transferred to you.
28. Free access
In this version, registration and the use of all existing consumer features are free. There is no paid plan, subscription, trial period or commercial daily/monthly AI quota. Using external AI requires separate informed consent.
29. Technical limits
For security, stability and the prevention of abuse, technical limits apply to file size, concurrent requests and request frequency. Reaching them does not require buying a paid plan.
30. Historical records and future changes
The free release does not delete old financial history and does not cancel any possible external financial obligation. The current actions of this app do not start a purchase or a charge. A future change to monetization requires prior explanation and compliance with the rules of the relevant platform.
31. Availability of the application
We strive to make MEDICARD safe, stable and available.
However, we do not guarantee that the service:
- will always be available;
- will never be interrupted;
- will never contain a technical error;
- will work identically on all devices.
An interruption may be caused by maintenance, an update, a third-party problem, an internet disruption or other circumstances.
32. Updates
MEDICARD may be updated from time to time:
- to improve security;
- to fix errors;
- to add new features;
- to improve existing features;
- to maintain compatibility with operating systems.
In some cases, support for an older version of the application may end.
33. Changes to features
MEDICARD is constantly evolving.
We may:
- add a new feature;
- change an existing feature;
- combine features;
- temporarily suspend a feature;
- stop supporting a particular feature.
If a change materially affects the user's rights or the service, the user will be informed in the manner required by law.
34. Backups and the risk of data loss
We use reasonable technical measures to protect data.
Nevertheless, no digital system is completely protected from technical failure, cyberattack or data loss.
If MEDICARD offers data export, it is recommended, especially for important medical documents, that you also keep the relevant originals safely.
MEDICARD should not be the only place where you keep the only copy of an important medical document.
35. Reasonable limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, MEDICARD is not liable for damage caused by:
- incorrect interpretation of an AI answer;
- the user entering incorrect information;
- using a prediction as a guaranteed medical outcome;
- incorrect information provided by a third party;
- a device or internet malfunction;
- a delayed or undelivered push notification;
- the user not adequately protecting their account sign-in details;
- using MEDICARD for a purpose it is not intended for.
However, no part of these Terms excludes or limits liability that may not be excluded or limited under applicable law.
36. Mandatory rights of the user
No provision of these Terms shall be interpreted so as to deprive the user of a mandatory right granted by applicable consumer or other legislation.
If any part of these Terms conflicts with a legal right that is mandatorily granted to the user, the relevant mandatory rule prevails.
37. Account suspension
We may temporarily restrict or suspend an account if there are reasonable grounds to believe that:
- the account is being used for unlawful activity;
- fraud is taking place;
- a security breach has occurred;
- the user is attempting unauthorized access to other accounts;
- there is a real threat to MEDICARD's infrastructure;
- the user is materially breaching these Terms.
Where possible and appropriate, the user will be informed of the reason for the restriction.
38. Account deletion
The user may request the deletion of their MEDICARD account.
If the relevant feature is available in the application:
MEDICARD → Profile → Delete account
Otherwise, the request may be sent to:
Details of the processing of personal data in connection with account deletion are set out in the MEDICARD Privacy Policy.
39. Discontinuation of the service
If the MEDICARD service is discontinued entirely in the future, we will try to inform users in advance when this is reasonably possible.
In such a case, users may be given the opportunity, if a supported feature exists, to export their own data in advance.
40. Minors
Use of MEDICARD by a minor is permitted only in accordance with applicable law.
If the consent of a parent or legal representative is required to use a particular feature, that feature should not be used without the necessary consent.
41. Geographic availability
MEDICARD may initially be aimed at users in Georgia, but the application may also become available in other countries.
Some features, including pharmacy prices, partner services or specific medical information, may be available only in certain regions.
42. Changes to the Terms of Use
These Terms may also change as MEDICARD develops.
In the case of a material change, the user may be notified:
- within the application;
- by push notification;
- by email;
- or by other appropriate means.
The date of the last update will be shown at the beginning of the document.
If applicable law requires the user's separate consent for a change, MEDICARD will ask for that consent.
43. Partial invalidity
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a court or another competent authority, the remaining provisions remain in force to the extent legally possible.
44. No waiver
If MEDICARD does not immediately exercise a right granted by these Terms or by law in a particular case, this does not automatically mean a waiver of that right.
45. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of:
Georgia
At the same time, if the user benefits from mandatory consumer protection rules of a country that may not be excluded by contract, this provision does not limit those rights.
46. Dispute resolution
If a dispute arises between MEDICARD and the user, the parties will first try to resolve the matter in good faith through negotiation.
Contact us:
If no agreement is reached, the dispute will be resolved in accordance with applicable law and the rules of the relevant court/competent authority.
These Terms do not limit the user's right to apply to the relevant court, consumer protection authority or another competent authority where such a right is provided for by law.
47. Additional terms for Apple users
If MEDICARD was downloaded from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that this agreement is concluded between you and MEDICARD, and not between Apple and you.
Apple is not responsible for the medical or other content that MEDICARD provides to the user.
Apple's relevant terms may additionally apply to Apple's App Store service.
If the applicable platform rules or legislation require additional provisions, they will apply to the relevant extent.
48. Additional terms for Google Play users
If MEDICARD was downloaded from Google Play, Google's relevant rules may apply to the use of Google Play and to certain transactions carried out through the platform.
This agreement concerning the MEDICARD service is concluded between the user and MEDICARD's relevant service provider.
49. Relationship between documents
The use of MEDICARD may be governed at the same time by:
- these Terms of Use;
- the Privacy Policy;
- additional terms presented for a specific feature;
- the relevant consent forms;
- the relevant App Store/Google Play rules.
Detailed information on matters related to the processing of personal data is set out in the MEDICARD Privacy Policy.

By using MEDICARD, you confirm that:
- you have read these Terms of Use;
- you understand MEDICARD's purpose and its limitations;
